News round up.

Hello everyone, just a little news round up for you. Because I can.

Oh my Lord look at this set photo. LOOK AT IT! Yes, you're right, I am mildly psychotic. And yes, again you are right, that is Michael Fassbender and Ryan Gosling. Together. In a film. Throw in Tom Hardy and I would definitely be losing control of various functions of my body. What are they doing together? Well they are filming scenes for a yet unannounced Terrence Mallick (Tree of Life, Thin Red Line) flick, along with Rooney Mara and Natalie Portman. Decent cast! Terrence seems to be banging films out at the moment - which is kind of surprising given the gaps endured in between his films before. Oh well, I'm not complaining.

Now this is cute. The sequel to Monsters INC, Monsters University is due out next July. Now while this is enough to produce a squeal of joy from most people, Pixar have ramped up the tension by releasing a website for the university. How delightful. It tells you about the university, let's you know how to apply and also gives you an update on the universities sport teams. Enjoy:

Empire Online (www.empireonline.com) has posted an interview with the original script writer for Prometheus, John Spaihts, which gives us an insight into what could of been. This includes facehuggers and more xenomorph action... god damn it. Still bitter about this.

See this guy? This is Armie Hammer. You may recognise him from The Social Network in which he played the Winklevoss twins (with help from Josh Pence). Well apparently he is being considered to play the next generation of Batman in a Justice League film. This is not new for Mr. Hammer as he was well into pre-production with this project before a few years ago, but the screen writers guild strike put an end to that. Seeing as Warner Bros. are going to be looking how to get Bats back on screen ASAP, this could prove the best opportunity to do so. Find out more about the story at the excellent Den of Geek (http://www.denofgeek.com/movies/batman/22959/is-armie-hammer-the-next-big-screen-batman)
